I'm not sure, I don't keep track of love's whereabouts.
That being said, I know the fat baby celebration day is this Thursday.
Whoever came up with the idea of Cupid didn't think it through very well. Arm a baby with a bow and arrow. Health and safety would go mad.
I'm not hating on Valentine's day this year as much as I am hating on two specific types of people:
- Those who are desperately trying to find a date for Valentine's day, just so they don't have to deal with the pain of going through it alone.
- Those who are in a relationship and give single people their sympathy running up to the big day.
I mean, wow. It's one day, but it feels like society splits us off into two groups: the winners (those who have someone to hold on the 14th February) and the losers (those who don't).
The idea is completely absurd.
Love is not something you should take for granted. It's not mass produced. It's not something you can buy with a box of cheap chocolates and a tesco value card. And any cheap knock off you can buy with a box of cheap chocolates and a tesco value card? It's not worth having in your life.
So for those little love birds out there? Have fun on Valentine's day.
And for those single senors and senioritas? Tomorrow is pancake day. Tomorrow is our day.
