Oscar Nominations 2013

The day that movie geeks everywhere love, and love to hate... Oscar Nomination day!

There are, as always, predictable choices, snubs and shocks that will give cinema-goers something to talk about until the ceremony itself takes place on the 24th of next month.

I don't feel too strongly about many of the academy's decision this year. That being said, I am endlessly disappointed that Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer's names are nowhere on the list for their work on 'The Dark Knight Rises'. The fact that it didn't even receive a technical nomination also made me feel upset.

On a brighter note, I couldn't be happier that 'Silver Linings Playbook' got so many nominations. I feel as though Jennifer Lawrence thoroughly deserves to win the award, so I'll have my fingers crossed for her.

What do you think about this year's nominations?
